Gender equity is the key actor for human development. It contributes in promoting economy, social harmony, peace and justice. SETU facilitates gender equity in bridging the gap in the society in order to contribute in achieving the SDG-5.
Gender inequity is increasing day by day resulting discrimination, deprivation and exclusion in the society. To build a just society it has been hampering development, in fact it is a world concern.
SETU applies its gender policy in organizational development and management. It undertakes all programs in conformity with gender sensitiveness, i.e. fairness of treatment of men women and girls according to their respective needs. This includes equal treatment or treatment that is different but which is considered equivalent in terms of rights, benefits, obligation and opportunities. Women and men are given equal access to resources and equal opportunities and given the means of benefitting for this equality.
